This unique artist proof is a ballerina. This piece is sculpted in clay from a live model, molded and cast with bonded bronze (gypsum based). A lacquer finish is applied to seal the finish and a protective wax is applied. The ballerina is mounted on a hand crafted dark teak wood base. She is standing with hands folded behind her dress and stands balanced on one leg with the other extending out and her toe pointing. The bottom side of her glows when the light hits the gold leaf gilding and lacquered finish |

The Other Side |
This unique piece is a relief of a door. This piece is a whimsically sculpted door with ornamental orbs and a partial brick wall running along the sides of the door. And then mounted on oak slats. This piece was clay sculpted, molded and cast with bonded bronze (gypsum based). A patina was applied to show definition, highlights and shadows. The brick wall has a hint of red to give the door demotion. Then a lacquered finish is applied and a final protective wax coat to seal the finish (the same as a molten bronze). The door is mounted on ¼” oak stats with a high gloss finish and inserted into a beautiful frame. |
